This Senior Python Engineer role is all about building and improving the core systems that power emergency response operations across the Netherlands. You'll be working on simulation-driven software that helps fire brigades and crisis teams make smarter, faster decisions—whether it's optimizing dispatch routes, advising patrol positioning, or analyzing response times. Using Python, spatial data (like with Pandas), and AI-powered models, your work directly contributes to making emergency services more efficient and effective.

It’s a hands-on role with real impact, supporting the company’s mission to turn complex geospatial challenges into smart, life-saving solutions.

You’ll Be:

• Designing and maintaining Python systems used for dispatching, patrolling, and geospatial simulations
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to build customer-driven features
• Handling change requests and delivering real-time updates to clients
• Working on simulation models to analyze and improve emergency response operations
• Applying spatial data tools like Pandas to support key operational decisions
• Scaling and optimizing systems to meet growing demand

You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in professional Python development
• Strong command of Pandas and spatial functions
• Experience with simulation-based systems or emergency/logistics platforms is a plus
• Clean, maintainable coding practices, with version control (Git) and CI/CD knowledge
• A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills

• Experience with geospatial tools and libraries
• Background in large-scale logistics or dispatching systems
• Comfortable working with custom feature development and client requests
