Senior Systems Engineer

After a year where many of us have spent much more time indoors than we would have liked many of us have turned to home improvements! People are investing more into the space they live, and it is having a positive effect on the connected devices and IoT space. 

As a result, I am working with a big hitter in the connected devices field and they are looking to hire a well-rounded Systems Engineer. 

In this role as a System Engineer you will have the opportunity to be a key decision maker in choosing the products and components of the new system that is in the pipeline. 

The main responsibility of your role is to develop the cloud platform so that it is effective in connecting the embedded devices, mobile applications and cloud technology within the ecosystem.  

The job: 

• Work with architects to create concepts for new system architecture 

• Build system prototypes 

• Support development teams with proper functioning infrastructure 

Skills: 

• 5+ years' experience in software development (cloud, mobile or embedded) 

• Cloud experience (Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services) 

• Exposure to some of these - Go, NodeJS, Python, JavaScript, Kubernetes, docker, containers 

• Experience with software or system design and proper understanding of security concepts
